Robert Zhu is a Partner at Roots Strategies, where he advises executives, investors, and organizations on navigating the intersection of government, Indigenous leadership, and capital. He works with clients across Canada to advance major projects, build strategic partnerships, and navigate complex political and regulatory environments.
With more than a decade of experience spanning public affairs and the public sector, Robert brings expertise in stakeholder engagement, government relations, and strategic advisory services. His work has focused on helping organizations build trusted relationships, align diverse interests, and create pathways for long-term growth and collaboration.
Robert has particular experience supporting Indigenous economic development initiatives and fostering partnerships that create shared value for Indigenous communities, industry, and investors. He also brings a strong understanding of cross-cultural engagement, international investment, and Canada’s diverse communities, informed by his work supporting organizations with Asia-facing growth and engagement strategies.
As a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, Robert is committed to advancing inclusive leadership, equitable opportunities, and meaningful dialogue across sectors and communities.
