This course will cement the foundational knowledge and skills you need to champion and develop DEIA workplace initiatives.

TRACK OBJECTIVES

1. Develop an understanding of the role DEIA plays in your workplace
2. Identify and apply inclusive language practices that promote respect, equity and diversity, ensuring effective communication in various workplace contexts
3. Analyze the impact of identity and how the multiplicity of identity impacts an individual’s experience and workplace relationships
4. Evaluate the role of power dynamics on relationships, impact on DEIA initiatives and the health of a workplace environment
5. Define cultural humility and apply strategies in professional settings to foster inclusive interactions

A Flexible and Self-paced delivery format

In addition to the set times of the live online classes and pre-recorded lectures, weekly activities and required reading can be completed on your own schedule. This allows you to self-pace coursework with your other commitments.

  • Part-time 6-week program includes:
  • Self-guided weekly activities and required reading.
  • 3 Pre-recorded lectures
  • 3 online, live classes.
    • The first 2 classes will be 2 hours long,
    • The final class will be 1 hour long
    • Certificate of participation and completion, and course transcript
