Dahabo Ahmed-Omer is the Chief Executive Officer of the BlackNorth Initiative, one of Canada’s leading organizations dedicated to advancing economic opportunity and ending anti-Black systemic racism. A nationally recognized executive, speaker, and community leader, she has built a distinguished career spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors, leading initiatives that drive systemic change, economic empowerment, and inclusive leadership.
Under her leadership, BlackNorth Initiative has expanded its national impact through partnerships with corporate, government, philanthropic, and community leaders across Canada. Prior to becoming CEO, Dahabo served in the federal public service, where she specialized in employment equity, anti-racism, diversity, and organizational transformation.
Dahabo’s contributions have been recognized through some of Canada’s most prestigious honours, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal, The Globe and Mail Business Changemakers Award, Bay Street Bull’s Top 40 Most Influential Women Leaders in Canada, and recognition as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent Under 40 Worldwide. She continues to serve on numerous boards and advisory bodies while championing a more equitable and prosperous future for all Canadians.
